Join SAEST as a Member

Student, Research Scholar, Professor, Scientist, Industrialist, Technologist, Consultant, and Business Executive in the field of electrochemical science and technology can become a member of the SAEST.

Categories of Membership

1. PATRON MEMBER
This category is open for firms, organizations and industries: Rs. 25,000/- Payable once only at the time of enrolment. Members will get a quarterly ‘SAEST Newsletter’.

2. SUSTAINING MEMBER
This category is open for firms, organizations and industries: Rs. 10,000/- Payable once only at the time of enrolment. Privileges are the same as for Patron Members.

3. FELLOW MEMBER
Open to individuals possessing a degree in science or technology or holding a responsible position in an industry or government and having a minimum of 5 years research / teaching / industrial experience in electrochemistry or its allied fields. *Annual subscription: Rs. 400/-. All fellow members will get the Society’s quarterly Newsletter.

4. LIFE FELLOW MEMBER
Subscription: Rs. 4,000/- (Foreign US $150/-) Payable only once at the time of enrolment. Eligibility criteria and privileges are the same as for Fellow Members. Members from abroad will get the ‘Newsletter’ by surface mail.

5. ACTIVE MEMBER
Open to individuals holding at least a degree in science. *Annual subscription: Rs. 200/-. All members will get the Society’s quarterly Newsletter.

6. LIFE ACTIVE MEMBER
Subscription: Rs. 2,000/- Payable only once at the time of enrolment. Eligibility criteria and privileges are the same as for Active Members.

7. STUDENT MEMBER
Student membership subscription is Rs. 500/- as onetime payment for the period of five years at the time of enrolment. The full-time students of B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./M.S./M.Sc./M.Phil./Ph.D. or similar programmes are eligible to become a member of the Society. The period of student membership shall be valid as long as the member is a full-time student. The student membership cannot be renewed after five years. In case the student member wants to become a life member at anytime during the subscription period he/she may pay the difference amount to the prevailing fee for life membership. Working persons are ineligible for becoming a Student member. All student members will get the Society’s quarterly Newsletter.
Promotion of members from one category to another is possible. No separate admission fee will be charged. Please contact the Secretary for details.
